Shoulder and other peripheral joint pain

Shoulder pain can not only come from the joint itself but also from surrounding structures that it directly connects to and works with in order to have a fully functioning shoulder.

A thorough examination will be carried out in order in distinguish what may be occurring within your shoulder complex and causing your symptoms.

Osteoarthritis is a very common joint condition due to bone spur formation and degeneration to the cartilage in the peripheral and predominantly weight bearing joints, like hips or knees but also in the hands/wrists and feet/ankles due to amount of repetitive use they get throughout life.

Osteopathy is a great way to help manage joint pain as we can work through the surrounding structures that could be experiencing tension or compensatory patterns but we can also help the body prepare for surgery if needed and once given the all clear we can help post recovery too.

If you are struggling with joint pain, please get in touch with us and book an appointment today to find out how we can help you.
